President of the Tactical Mixed Martial Arts Association.

Richard Norton is a martial arts icon, bodyguard to the rich and famous and international movie star.
His experience and expertise on the movie screen in reality is dwarfed by his prowess and knowledge as a martial artist, exercise science practitioner, communication master and sports psychology expert. His training experience in the martial arts now goes back over 50 years.
Richard first gained notoriety as a martial artist in the seventies when he worked along side his lifelong friend Kyoshi Bob Jones in the development of the highly progressive Zen Do Kai system of karate. It was during this period that earned Richard an introduction to world famous martial artist and movie actor Mr. Chuck Norris; an introduction that would change his life for the better in years to come. During his early time through the Zen Do Kai organisation, Richard found work as a bodyguard and began working for top celebrities such as David Bowie, James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt, the Rolling Stones, Stevie Nicks and the late John Belushi just to name a few.
Most young men would be happy to leave it at that, however not one to rest on his laurels, Richard continued to train in a variety of other arts over the years and in true Richard Norton form has gone on to achieve the following list of impressive martial arts credentials; 8th Dan Zen Do Kai, 5th Dan Shihan International Goju Karate under Hanshi Tino Ceberano, 5th Degree black belt and Master rank personally awarded to him by Chuck Norris in Chun Kuk Do, 6th Degree  in Ukidokan Kickboxing under Benny “The Jet” Urquidez, and a coveted 4th Degree Black Belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu under the legendary BJJ grand master Jean Jacques Machado.

Richard is also President and co-founder of the Tactical Mixed Martial Arts Association, a world-wide training and certification body for martial arts schools, professional trainers and mixed martial artists.
Over the years Richard Norton has trained in numerous countries with some of the worlds greatest Martial Artists, from Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Brazil, Iado and Karate in Japan and numerous Martial Arts systems in the USA with training partners such as Chuck Norris, Benny “the Jet” Urquidez, Bill Wallace, Fumio Demura, Tadashi Yamashita and Pete ‘Sugar Foot’ Cunningham… the list goes on and on.
Since being cast as a villain in Norris’ The Octagon (1980), Richard has spent the last 30 years working in the martial arts film industry, producing, acting, directing and working as a fight choreographer and stunt co-ordinator. To date Richard has over 80 Motion Pictures to his credit. He has gone on to become undoubtedly, one of the most recognizable faces in Hong Kong cinema today, having appeared as the main villain in not just one, but three, Jackie Chan films.

During recent years, Richard has been dividing his time between teaching, training and working on American film projects, as well as those in Australia, where a booming film industry has created a gap for local action movies, a gap which Richard is only too happy to fill.More recently he has worked on such big budget films such as Spiderman 3, and Mad Max Fury Road, working alongside Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron as fight Choreographer and Fight Co-ordinator.
Between projects, Richard is continually in demand for seminars around the world, and is highly regarded as one of the worlds most dynamic martial artists and seminar presenters.
With a vast knowledge of reality based self defence, cutting edge Mixed Martial Arts athlete development programs and Richard’s own hugely popular Black Belt Complexes, Richard’s teaching and seminars focus on developing higher learning for both the traditional and modern martial artist.
